Create a Smart Environment

The Mymesh network is the ideal solution for large professional control systems. It can brings together thousands of nodes together in one large mesh network, so it covers the entire installation. Functionality is flexible from the installation and defined during the commissioning.

The versatility and robustness of the platform makes it suitable for all parts of the installation from functional areas back-of house to the most challenging requirements of the end-user.

With cyber crime on the rise, the security of any system is critical. Encryption of communication is only a start. True cyber security required an all encompassing approach. That is why Mymesh adopts a 'Secure by Design' principle. Do not settle for less.

Wise Emergency Lighting

With the instigation of BS5266-1 for emergency lighting it is the responsibility of a responsible person within the organisation to make sure all tests as part of this standard are carried out and recorded.

The Mymesh wireless solution in conjunction with the appropriate control gear will completely automate this task by providing a fully compliant test regime together with the appropriate industry standard logging.

The solution requires no extra wiring other than a standard non switched supply, when used in conjunction with a Mymesh full building lighting control system a emergency fitting can be installed in any location that has power, as we are wirelessly switching and dimming all the other lights in the installation switch lines are no longer an issue.

We can control any DALI based emergency lighting solution.

Testing regimes are not fixed and are flexible to be set according to the use and application regime that may be in place for the installation. This can also be updated to take into account future testing regimes. As we monitor and control the emergency device via the DALI protocol we can instigate the test at a time that is appropriate for the building. In addition to this if the device supports we can provide insight into battery health such as its temperature and voltage.

All results are displayed in a digital log book and are emailed to the responsible person for their records if required.

Emergency lighting exit signs

BBC News reports that The Market Village Company Limited, the operator of Aberdeen Market, has been fined £80,000 after admitting safety failures that led to the death of a pensioner at the site. A 80 year old resident was found at the bottom of a fire escape stairwell at the indoor market in June 2018. An investigation found the Market Village Company Ltd failed to maintain the lighting in the stairwell. The company pleaded guilty to a contravention of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. This sad case could have been prevented by a proper control & monitoring system like Mymesh. The main driver for a lot of clients to implement the Mymesh wireless control system is monitoring emergency lighting to guarantee compliance with the norms. This is a trend we see across many different markets. Furthermore, cost savings are being achieved by not having to manually perform and check the monthly Functional and yearly Duration Tests. And it also brings the opportunity to do preventive (or predictive) maintenance for the batteries, making the business case even more attractive. By taking firm and smart action the company could have saved a fine, but more importantly a human life.
