Car parks with their large amount of lighting and empty spaces are a perfect application for the implementation of lighting controls. These areas have traditionally been left with either no control or very basic control. The client/owner would like to save energy by turning off the lights when the car park is not being used or occupied, customers are reluctant to use or enter a car park that is in darkness.

Light fittings supplied with integrated wireless nodes (available from our lighting partners or we are happy to work with a manufacturer of your choice) are installed/replaced in the same way a normal fitting would be installed. No extra wiring for controls is needed even to accommodate emergency light testing and remote diagnostics of the lighting installation.

Simple pairing/grouping of sensors to the light fitting via the intuitive app allows the space to be configured to set the occupied light level, unoccupied level, sensor timeout and activation zones. With the addition of industry standard DALI self test units in the emergency light fittings (location is easy as all the fittings have a permanent live so upgrading to the current regulations will not require additional wiring) a fully automated emergency testing solution is available to the client to BS 5266. This will ensure the building is fully compliant without staff having to visit the location.
